Analogue Production UHQR
Analogue Productions has earned an excellent reputation for releasing brilliant reissues of classic albums, usually cut all analog from original master tapes by well respected engineers, with beautifully presented reproductions of original jackets and labels. Reviews often suggest they sound better than original releases. This section includes all of their vinyl releases - we also sell their SACDs and reel to reels
Owner Chad Kassem started his career in business in the 1980s, originally buying and selling audiophile reissues from the likes of Mobile Fidelity, Nautilus, Nimbus Supercut, CBS Half Speed masters and others, before deciding he wanted to release his own reissues of classic audiophile quality albums.
In 1992, Analogue Productions released their first reissue and since then they have released hundreds of classic titles, including many excellent blues, jazz, rock, pop and classical albums. Many of their releases are Limited Editions and are often sold for far more on the used market once deleted, in other words - 'buy now or cry later'!
Analogue Productions advise they work with the master tapes more than any other label and are often mastered by well regarded mastering engineers like Bernie Grundman, Doug Sax, Kevin Gray and Chris Bellman among others. Unlike some labels that have some sort of digital aspect in the mastering process, they work to ensure that their releases are all analogue - for a richer, warmer and more lifelike sound.
True to their dedication, they also press their releases in their in-house pressing plant called Quality Record Pressings (QRP) which is often regarded as one of the best - if not the best, pressing plant in the world. Indeed, they advise the Jimi Hendrix estate trust only QRP to press reissues of classic Hendrix albums. Thanks to owner Chad Kassem's passion and attention to detail, these are some of the finest reissues available.
