Chord Signature X Tuned ARAY RCA Interconnects

Chord Signature X Tuned ARAY interconnects are the latest version of these excellent interconnects, featuring XLPE (cross-linked polyethylene) an excellent insulator that was first introduced in the Signature XL speaker cable and Signature X power cable and is now available on other Signature cables.

These Signature X Tuned ARAY cables are built based on Tuned ARAY principles. Tuned ARAY was originally developed for the Sarum range, and  works as good on the Signature range. Always as a listener, you have to find the balance between what your high fidelity system should do and the sense of presence you have for a live performance. Signature X aims to bridge that gap and features Tuned ARAY technology, designed to deliver superb timing and coherence.

Comparing the Signature X to the Sarum you will notice an increase in detailing, and the dynamics are significantly improved.  What really works though is the coherence of the music you play, the sense of involvement and being there. There is a realisation that hours have gone by and you were only meant to sit down and listen to a couple of songs.

Cable Design

Chord Signature X Tuned ARAY analogue interconnects all use the same unique conductor formation, developed for our flagship Sarum Tuned ARAY interconnects.

Each Signature X conductor is built using high quality silver-plated conductors. Insulation is provided by PTFE with the shielding being two layers of a highly-dense silver-plated braids that is highly effective over the whole audible spectrum. The shielding is covered with a white PTFE precision applied to the outer extrusion.

Like Sarum, Signature X Tuned ARAY cable is produced to extremely tight tolerances.

The Signature X Tuned ARAY RCA interconnect is fitted with Chord’s own ultra low mass RCA plugs. On the RCA plugs the centre pin is silver-plated, set into a PTFE insulation block. The low mass silver-plated shield/return connector is fitted and a PTFE layer applied before the precision machined, vibration damping acrylic plug casing is fitted. The acrylic moulds are autonomously made via precision British machining, specialising in precision acrylic medical parts.

Do not underestimate the profound improvements to performance that Tuned ARAY technology brings. The Signature X Tuned ARAY is exceptionally transparent, both dynamically and particularly in terms of detail, timbre and pitch. These interconnects suit almost any hi-fi equipment and will support high degrees of detail in your music and an extraordinary level of cohesiveness.
