At the centre of the Velodyne VI-Q12 12” Subwoofer is a newly developed 12-inch high-excursion front-firing driver that uses a lightweight carbon fibre cone for outstanding rigidity and low distortion performance. This advanced cone material allows the driver to maintain excellent control even during demanding bass passages, preserving detail and impact without unwanted coloration.

Supporting the driver is a robust dual ferrite magnet motor system and a large four-layer 63mm voice coil designed to handle substantial power while maintaining excellent linearity. The VI-Q12 is powered by a highly efficient Class D amplifier delivering 500 watts RMS and up to 900 watts of dynamic power, providing effortless low-frequency authority across music and movie soundtracks alike.

Combined with a sophisticated switching power supply using premium MOSFET transistors, the amplifier maintains excellent efficiency, low distortion, and stable operation even during extended high-volume listening sessions.
