Description

QED XT5 is a flexible, high quality, award-winning power cable that uses the proven and acclaimed X-Tube technology of QED's award-winning loudspeaker cable ranges. This ground-breaking power cable delivers a clean and stable current so that audio equipment performs to the maximum potential.

What is X-Tube Technology?

X-Tube technology makes this power cable stand out from the rest. In the attempt to minimise the degrading ‘proximity effect’ created when two conductors near each other accumulate current density, it uses carefully separated cores and a carefully calculated twist rate to ensure the most even current flow as possible. The more even the current flow, the more consistent the response is from the unit's power supply, which successfully helps to promote dynamics and lower background noise and allows the unit to work as it was initially intended.

Ferrite insulate for low distortion

By covering the X-Tube cores in an impenetrable ferrite sleeve, the QED XT5 is effectively protected against high frequencies, in other words to stop RF (Radio Frequencies) from causing unwanted distortion/corruption to the mains signal. Radio frequencies are everywhere in your homes in computer equipment and smart phones etc.

QED Practical Uses

QED has designed the XT5 to be very flexible regardless of the superior technology that has gone into it to help performance.
