Description
The Pro-Ject Pick-It MC3 MC phono cartridge is designed to sound fantastic with a wide range of music - particularly with pop and rock with powerful dynamics, but also with big orchestral music too.
Hyper-Spherical Stylus
MC3 features a hyper-spherical stylus which picks up all the sonic nuances in the vinyl grooves. The cross coil is made from Armco pure iron with 6N linear crystal copper for the winding and the cantilever is cryogenically treated which realigns the crystal structure at a microscopic level and ensures a smoother signal. MC3 features an output voltage of 0.4mV and is suited to a tracking force of 2g.
Aluminium Bodied
Unlike many plastic cartridges, the MC3 is made from anodised aluminium in a lovely steel blue colour which offers excellent rigidity. Japanese made components were sourced for the best possible performance and the overall design should offer incredible sound from your vinyl collection when matched to a good turntable and phono stage.
Next Generation Cartridge
MC3 is part of a range of next generation cartridges, which also includes the higher end MC9. We recommend pairing this with a good Pro-Ject turntable, but of course with standard mount screws, it can be matched with any other good turntable and tonearm of your choosing as an excellent upgrade over lesser cartridges.
