Description
The Pro-Ject Evo 9 AS Tonearm forms part of the tonearm range which is the pinnacle of turntable upgrades, featuring advanced technologies developed by Pro-Ject through years of rigorous testing.
Each tonearm is crafted with precision, boasting CNC machined full aluminum headshells, nickel-coated SME connectors, and high-precision aluminum S-shape tonearm tubes. This collection includes three variations—EVO 9 AS, EVO 10 AS, and EVO 12 AS and is available in a sleek black finish alongside a high gloss finish.
Designed for optimal performance, the EVO AS range incorporates several key enhancements. It features a massive aluminum bearing block with an inner 'O' ring, facilitating a 4-point bearing system, and a gravitational anti-skating mechanism that ensures accurate force across both inner and outer grooves.
Each tonearm is internally wired with high-quality copper cabling and terminates in a 5-PIN DIN tonearm cable connector, allowing for easy integration with your existing setup.
One of the standout features of the EVO AS is its heavy CNC-machined tonearm holder, secured with a robust magnetic locking system, enhancing stability during playback. The tonearm comes with two damped aluminum counterweights, accommodating a range of cartridge weights, with additional options available for fine-tuning.
The EVO range is designed to cater to various preferences, offering options that include lightweight pure carbon tonearm tubes, carbon-aluminum sandwich constructions, and traditional S-shape aluminum tonearms with SME headshells. This flexibility allows users to customize their setups to match their cartridges perfectly.
With lengths available in 9”, 10”, and 12”, and premium versions featuring stainless steel bearing blocks, silver tonearm wiring, and improved designs, the EVO AS tonearm range is currently the most comprehensive selection on the market, ensuring that audiophiles can find the perfect fit for their turntable needs.
