The Pro-Ject 78 RPM kit allows you to use your Pro-Ject turntable to play 78 rpm records. The kit includes a separate pulley and belt and can be easily fitted.
Suitability
Please note though that you can not use a standard cartridge to play 78rpm records due to the wider grooves, but you can but a special Ortofon Stylus 78 separately which will fit the OM cartridge as fitted to most Debut Pro-Ject turntables. The Pro-Ject 78 RPM kit is only suitable for use on Pro-ject turntables with a standard drive belt.

Works - with a simple mod for Debut II
If you have the Pro-ject Debut II with a suspended motor, you may experience severe vibrations in the motor when this larger pulley and belt are fitted. I got around this by re-attaching the motor to the plinth using the transport screw originally provided, with 2 x washers between motor and plinth to keep the pulley at the correct height. With this mod it works like a charm!
