Description
The Naim CI-Uniti 102 Custom Install Amplifier and Streamer is designed to be used with all integrated audio systems especially those that use the Focal range of built-in architectural speakers. There are three units in the Ci range that offer a complete solution.
The Naim CI-Uniti 102 Custom Install Amplifier and Streamer sits at the system's heart. The unit has a good range of inputs as well as streaming capability, via WI-FI and Bluetooth. Most streaming services, such as Airplay 2, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, and Chromecast, are available.
All in one streamer amplifier
Connectivity is good with the Naim CI-Uniti 102 Custom Install Amplifier and Streamer. The unit also provides 150 watts per channel into 8 Ohms. Inputs include a set of RCA analogue connectors as well as an optical and HDMI input.
Bluetooth connectivity is provided, and you can stream via Airplay 2, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, and Chromecast. As well as many others. Extra RCA outputs are provided for connecting a subwoofer. There are also connections for two Wi-FI aerials and a wired Ethernet connector.
Digital Signal Processor
The built-in Digital Signal Processor can be used to optimize the unit with Focal speakers. The DSP also provides full system calibration with the other units in the range. There are speaker profiles for each loudspeaker in the CI Focal range. Moreover, there is a Focal & Naim app that gives you ultimate control. Access millions of tracks as well as internet radio stations and podcasts. You can also access the settings and features of the system.
More amplifiers
The rest of the system comprises the CI-NAP 108 8-channel amplifier and the CI-NAP 101 mono power amplifier. This allows multichannel systems to be built for Dolby Atmos or DTS: X Pro 3D surround sound setups. Focal provides a range of built-in architectural speakers for cinema rooms. These include ceiling and side-mounted units. The mono power amplifiers can also be used to drive subwoofers.
What is a custom install?
A custom install in audio refers to a designed system using multiple components. These usually involve some kind of control unit such as the Naim CI-Uniti 102 Custom Install Amplifier and Streamer as well as various amplifiers to suit the number of speakers in use. Custom installs in cinema rooms will have speakers built into the walls and ceiling. Speakers can also be installed in most other rooms.
