Description
Mission 770 speakers are an updated version of the iconic original 770 loudspeaker, which was a revolutionary design at the time it was released in 1978 and featured the worlds first polypropylene bass unit in a consumer speaker.
This new version builds on the sound signature of the original speaker with several key improvements. Available with a choice of Black or Walnut (both finishes with white front baffles and removable grilles).
Sound Reimagined
The Mission 770 already stood for a rich, natural and full bodied sound signature which over the past decades has stood the test of time. Now with advances in technology, an open and crisp signature is delivered by a 20cm polypropylene mid/bass drive unit that is tighter than the original unit that allows you to truly pick out the bass instrumentation whilst not losing any quality.
A woven textile treble unit has been engineered to deliver the cleanest of highs whilst remaining dampened to prolong the lifespan of the unit, this when married up with the mid/bass driver via a damped rear chamber delivers a sound that you will just find delightful.
Cabinet Design
A speaker is only as good as the cabinet it comes in and the Mission 770 is no exception, with a hardwood shell and laminated front baffle, the 770 allows the drive units to truly perform to their best without the cabinet holding the sound back. A twin wall sandwich helps deliver of this optimum performance, which when combined with the British Steel stand gives you not only a superb speaker but a robust one too.
Unfussy Partnering
The Mission 770 speakers are well suited to a range of amplification options and are generally unfussy in their matching. As with everything we sell a full 30 day money back guarantee is included and we recommend arranging a demo to discover how impressive these speakers sound and appear in person (the pictures dont do them justice!)
