Description

The Luxman E-07 Phono Stage is a groundbreaking all-solid-state phono equalizer amplifier designed to elevate the quality of analog playback. Celebrating Luxman’s 100th anniversary in 2025, this model represents a new milestone in performance, setting a benchmark for sound quality.

Its role is to amplify the subtle nuances and emotional depth detected by the phono cartridge, delivering them to the next stage of amplification with accuracy and clarity. Compatible with various analog playback environments, the E-07 supports both balanced and unbalanced connections, including MC cartridges, ensuring optimal performance and versatility.

Designed with a slim chassis and a blasted white finish, the E-07 seamlessly matches Luxman’s separate and integrated amplifiers, enhancing both function and design for a superior listening experience.

Advanced Circuitry and Premium Components

The Luxman E-07 Phono Stage integrates advanced circuitry that enhances the integrity of the audio signal. Utilizing high-quality NF-type transistors, this phono stage delivers a low-noise, high signal-to-noise ratio (S/N) circuit design.

By paralleling four individual FETs in the primary stage, Luxman has engineered an ultra-low-noise operation, contributing to its dynamic and richly detailed sound. The unit features carefully selected, custom-developed components, all subjected to extensive listening tests to ensure the highest audio performance.

The chassis employs a loopless structure, isolating the power supply from the amplifier sections to minimize ground impedance. This design maximizes sound clarity while using OFC cables for precise signal transmission, ensuring a natural, uninterrupted audio experience.

Precise Cartridge Load Adjustment

One of the standout features of the Luxman E-07 Phono Stage is its ability to fine-tune performance based on different cartridge types.

With a six-position rotary load impedance selector on the front panel, users can adjust the load impedance for MC cartridges (4.7/10/40/100/300/1kΩ), while the rear panel offers further customization with load impedance selector switches for MM cartridges (34/47/56/100kΩ) and capacitance selector switches (0/100/220/320pF).

This level of precision ensures that each cartridge is optimized for maximum performance, delivering the best possible sound quality, no matter the phono cartridge type used. These adjustments allow for greater flexibility, making the E-07 a versatile tool for any analog audio setup.

Independent Power Supply and Grounding for Optimal Sound

The Luxman E-07 is designed with robust power supply and grounding systems to ensure the highest level of performance. The unit features three independent power transformers, each dedicated to different sections of the circuit: left and right audio processing, and the indicators and relay drive circuits.

This design isolates each circuit block, preventing fluctuations from interfering with one another, ensuring a stable and reliable power supply. Additionally, the E-07 employs a unique grounding system, with large brass terminals providing secure connections for each input.

This minimizes hum and noise, ensuring clean, clear signal transmission. The power supply’s stability is enhanced by large, high-value block capacitors and superior regulation, further improving overall sound quality.

Vibration Control and Convenience Features

The Luxman E-07 Phono Stage also focuses on minimizing the impact of vibrations during playback. The ultra-thick copper base plate enhances rigidity, lowering the center of gravity to improve overall chassis stability.

Additionally, the E-07 uses density gradient cast iron insulator feet, which isolate the unit from unwanted vibrations that could compromise sound quality. For added convenience, the unit includes a low-cut switch to suppress low-frequency artifacts caused by warped records, as well as a Mono Mode switch for easy playback of mono records.

The articulator function prevents cartridge and MC transformer magnetization, ensuring accurate playback, while the phase inversion switch offers flexibility for various system setups. With these thoughtful features, the Luxman E-07 ensures an exceptional and immersive analog experience.
