Description
The Flagship Luxman C-10X Pre Amplifier offers a new listening experience. Several innovations include a high-precision electronic volume control along with motor-driven tone controls. There is also a unique feedback system that is designed to eliminate distortion. The unit acts as a control centre with four balanced and unbalanced inputs as well as two outputs. Lastly, only the best quality circuit boards and components are used for the ultimate in sound quality.
Unique feedback system for natural sound
Only Distortion Negative Feedback (ODNF) is used by the Luxman C-10X Pre Amplifier. This system provides the same sound quality as a non feedback amplifier, by just feeding back the distorted part of the sound. The result is overwhelming audio performance.
Electronic volume control
The Luxman C-10X Pre Amplifier comes with a next-generation electronic volume control known as LECUA-EX. Additionally, the fully balanced 3D layout of the circuit boards is designed to provide infinite silence along with instantaneous power and a great sense of realism. The volume control system uses a series of fixed resistors and a rotary encoder, rather than a constantly varying potentiometer. The pulses from the decoder are used to set the volume electronically. This suppresses and imbalances and gives a smooth volume control.
Quality circuit boards
The circuit boards in the Luxman C-10X Pre Amplifier use thick copper traces that are low resistance and have a gold-plated peel-resistant coating. This reduces dielectric effects for better sound quality. Moreover, the traces are not angled which prevents the signal transmission from being degraded by having smooth curves. All of the components and connectors of the Luxman C-10X Pre Amplifier are of the best possible quality. Moreover, the internal wiring is all made of oxygen-free copper.
Versatile controllability
The flagship Luxman C-10X Pre Amplifier also acts as a control centre. The environment of the whole audio system is adjustable. For example, the output mode can be switched between unbalanced, balanced, or bi-amplified configurations. The balance can be very finely adjusted without causing any sound deterioration. Moreover, the input gain has been increased allowing a wider range of inputs to be matched using the input offset function. In other words, the volume level of each input can be matched.
Dimmable fluorescent display
The high visibility fluorescent display on the Luxman C-10X Pre Amplifier is dimmable. Moreover, the display is zoomable. This means that the size of the display of the input and output volume levels can be adjusted for easier viewing from the listening position. The display size is changed using the remote control. Lastly, the status of the inputs and outputs is indicated by LEDs inside the display panel.
Motor-driven tone controls
The Luxman C-10X Pre Amplifier features motor-controlled electronic bass and treble controls. These have a volume-linked loudness function that matches human hearing characteristics. For example, human hearing is less sensitive to frequency extremes at low volumes, as a result, the bass and treble are boosted slightly. The volume control features a high-precision rotary encoder that has high reliability and a weighty quality feel when you rotate the machined aluminium knob. The unit also comes with a fully-featured aluminium remote control.
Highly regulated power supply
To provide a high transient response the power supply in the Luxman C-10X Pre Amplifier has a powerful CI core transformer as well as a large number of top-quality reservoir capacitors. In fact, seven 3,300MFD capacitors provide a massive amount of reserve power. As a result, any voltage dips are eliminated giving excellent regulation.
