Description
The Klipsch SUB 100 Subwoofer is a compact 10” unit that is designed to pair with the Klipsch Core 100 or 200 soundbars. It can also be used with other systems by using the wired input. The subwoofer has low latency and good musicality. Add punchy bass to the Klipsch soundbar system with no trailing wires. Lastly, setup is easy with the Klipsch Connect app.
Easy setup
The Klipsch SUB 100 Subwoofer can be placed anywhere there is a power outlet. No junction boxes or trailing wires are needed. Any LED indicators are also hidden out of sight. The whole system is controlled by the Klipsch Connect app.
This can be installed on IOS and Android devices. Additionally, there are EQ settings and night mode can be enabled. There is also a dialogue boost available. The Flexus system was developed by Onkyo along with Klipsch. As a result, you get the best of both worlds.
Why a subwoofer?
The Klipsch SUB 100 Subwoofer will give the bass in movies and music an extra kick. Explosions will rock the room while the depth of music is enhanced. Smaller speakers cannot produce deep notes and this subwoofer is specifically designed to pair with the Klipsch Core soundbars.
Klipsch soundbars and the Klipsch SUB 100 Subwoofer, with Dolby Atmos
The Klipsch Core soundbars along with the Klipsch SUB 100 Subwoofer can be used to create a full Dolby Atmos system. Dolby Atmos can have up to 17 speakers. The sound is mixed using sound objects that can be placed anywhere in 3D space. The 3D space is created by using celling and height speakers as well as rear surround speakers. However, this can lead to lots of wires and a complicated setup.
The Klipsch approach
Alternatively, Klipsch uses a different approach. The Klipsch SUB 100 Subwoofer along with optional surround speakers connects to the Core unit wirelessly. The Core 100 unit uses an electronic method to simulate Dolby Atmos while the Core 200 has built-in upward-firing speakers.
Using the Klipsch soundbar system
The Klipsch Core 100 unit can be placed under the TV as it does not have upward-firing speakers. It can also be paired with the Klipsch SUB 100 Subwoofer. Alternatively, the Klipsch core 200 unit has upward-firing speakers that need to be able to bounce the sound of the ceiling.
Lastly, the 200 can be wall-mounted and wireless surround speakers are available that can be paired to the unit, along with the Klipsch SUB 100 Subwoofer.
