Description
The JVC DLA-NZ500 4K Projector sets a new benchmark in the world of projectors alongside its latest D-ILA lineup featuring the world's smallest native 4k projector. This revolutionary technology integrates a new BLU-Escent Laser light source and advanced features that elevate both the quality and functionality of home theater projectors.
The DLA-NZ500 models stand out for its exceptional brightness, long lifespan, and superior resolution, making them ideal choices for any serious cinephile or home theater enthusiast.
High Brightness and Long Life with Blu-Escent Laser Technology
At the heart of JVC's latest D-ILA projectors is the Blu-Escent Laser light source technology. This proprietary laser light source utilizes a blue laser diode to deliver remarkable brightness, with the DLA-NZ700 reaching up to 2,300 lumens and the DLA-NZ500 achieving 2,000 lumens.
Both projectors boast an impressive 20,000-hour laser life expectancy, ensuring long-lasting performance for many years. This high brightness capability ensures vibrant, clear images even in well-lit rooms, with the added benefit of a more efficient, eco-friendly laser source compared to traditional lamps.
4K Native Resolution and Superior Optics
The new JVC D-ILA projectors come equipped with a newly designed large aperture 4K compatible lens. With 80mm diameter, 11 groups, and 15 lenses, this high-quality lens delivers exceptional resolution across the entire screen, ensuring every corner of the image is sharp and detailed.
The native 4K D-ILA devices (x3) provide a crisp, clear picture with a 40,000:1 native contrast ratio, which translates into an extraordinary dynamic contrast ratio of ∞:1, providing rich, life-like images. This lens and optical system is part of the projector’s goal to achieve superior resolution, bringing full native 4K detail to life with outstanding clarity and color reproduction.
Gen2 Frame Adapt HDR for Enhanced HDR Performance
The Frame Adapt HDR technology is one of the standout features of JVC's latest projectors, enabling superior HDR (High Dynamic Range) performance. The Gen2 Frame Adapt HDR function uses a proprietary algorithm that analyzes HDR10 content scene by scene or frame by frame to perform real-time tone mapping for optimal dynamic range.
This second-generation algorithm delivers brighter, more colorful, and more dynamic HDR images, enhancing the overall viewing experience. The tone mapping technology has been improved to reproduce images with more accurate contrast, making dark scenes appear deeper and more detailed while highlighting bright areas with stunning clarity.
Deeper Blacks for Richer Gradation
A new feature that enhances the viewing experience is Deep Black Tone Control, which is integrated into the Frame Adapt HDR function. This new control allows for further refinement of dark tones, enhancing the realism of night scenes and dark areas within an image.
The advanced algorithm subdues dark areas, creating more realistic blacks with richer gradation. This upgrade to the dynamic range of JVC’s D-ILA technology ensures that both the brightest highlights and the deepest shadows are presented with a level of contrast and detail that is unparalleled in this class of projectors.
Advanced Features and Connectivity
JVC’s new projectors come equipped with a wide range of advanced features. The projectors include two HDMI 2.0 inputs (32 Gbps, HDCP 2.3), which support 4K60P input signals. The projectors are also compatible with HDR10+ metadata, which automatically adjusts the image to reproduce visuals as intended by the content creator.
The Auto Tone Mapping function ensures that HDR10 images are automatically optimized, providing smooth gradation with improved gamma processing that offers a 12- to 18-bit equivalent, delivering finer, more accurate details in shadows and highlights.
The projectors also feature a Color Management System with a 6-axis matrix, allowing for precise color calibration and management to ensure vibrant, natural color reproduction. With a wide color gamut that exceeds the DCI/P3 specification, these projectors deliver saturated, lifelike colors that bring cinematic content to life.
Whether for movie watching, gaming, or professional use, these projectors ensure that every image is as stunning as possible.
