Description
The GrandView 15mm R4 Edge 16:9 Home Cinema Acoustic Projector Screen is available in six sizes from 6’ to 11’ in width. The special woven material allows speakers placed behind the screen to deliver sound without any obstruction.
Experience the action with the left and right speakers as well as the centre speaker directly behind the screen. Moreover, the 12mm black aluminium frame provides a strong attachment and is placed behind the material giving the maximum viewing area.
Lastly, the material has steel tensioning bars ensuring a flat surface.
Hidden fixed frame
The strong and light aluminium frame of the GrandView 15mm R4 Edge 16:9 Home Cinema Acoustic Projector Screen is mounted behind the material. As a result, you get the maximum viewing area. Moreover, the different sizes available make the screen ideal for fixed installations in dedicated cinema rooms. Get a true cinematic experience.
High surface tension screen
The high-resolution vinyl projection screen material is ideal for 4K and 8K images. The ultra-smooth material of the GrandView 15mm R4 Edge 16:9 Home Cinema Acoustic Projector Screen is kept under tension by steel bars.
This method was developed for the Grandview series. The bars sit in looped pockets along the edge of the screen material. They are then fitted into the frame pulling the screen material tight.
Frame design and attachment
The 15mm frame is made of extruded aluminium and then attached to another larger frame on the inside. Additionally, there is a central support bar that makes the whole assembly extremely rigid. The frame is then attached to the wall using two long brackets. The lower bracket is used to lock the screen to the wall.
Acoustically transparent screen material
The screen material of the GrandView 15mm R4 Edge 16:9 Home Cinema Acoustic Projector Screen is the same as that used in cinemas. The material is designed to be acoustically transparent. As a result, rear-placed speakers will have the minimum acoustic loss.
Also, the screen material is highly reflective to projected light. This keeps the contrast level high and the viewing angle wide.
Why a projector screen?
Often home cinema projectors use a wall as the projection surface. This is not ideal as the wall is unlikely to be exactly white. It is also impossible to hide the speakers behind the screen. Moreover, dedicated screens are designed to reject ambient light. However the surface is designed to provide a bright projected image.
