The Focal Hadenys Headphones are the flagship model in the Focal wired headphones range. The design is open-backed and has a contemporary look. They are fitted with Focal’s renowned drivers and deliver sound with depth and precision. Also, the acoustic performance is matched by exceptional comfort. The 40mm drivers are made from an aluminium/magnesium composite that has exceptional performance. Moreover, the leather headband and memory foam earpads are good for long listening sessions.
Quality Aluminium/Magnesium "M" dome drivers
The 40mm drivers in the Focal Hadenys Headphones are made of a lightweight aluminium/magnesium mixture. The sound is detailed, warm and dynamic. They offer a premium listening experience at home. Magnesium is also lightweight and the “M” shape of the drivers has been fine-tuned by extensive listening tests.
Exceptional comfort
The lightweight magnesium yoke makes the Focal Hadenys Headphones perfect for long listening sessions. The leather-covered headband and durable fabric-covered earpads add a premium look. Also, the earpads use memory foam for even more comfort. The timeless colour pallet of earthy browns is fashionable as well as timeless. The Hadenys name is inspired by the Haden era when the Earth was formed 4.6 billion years ago.
Running in
To reach optimum performance the Focal Hadenys Headphones need running in. This can be achieved by playing the headphones for 24 hours at a relatively high volume. The tracks should have good bass content so that the drivers are flexed.
Headphone connectors.
The Focal Hadenys Headphones have a 3.5mm socket built in. This is suitable for most smartphones and amplifiers. Some older amplifiers may have a 6.3mm socket. However, a lead and adaptor are provided. Premium headphone cables are also available.
Headphone amplifiers
An issue with smartphones is the poor quality of the built-in DAC. As a result premium headphones such as the Focal Hadenys Headphones would benefit from a better DAC. Small portable DACs are available that plug into your smartphone's charger socket. These have far superior performance. Moreover, there are many dedicated headphone amplifiers available. Additionally, high-end units have many features that optimise them for specific headphone manufacturers.
