Description
The Canton Reference 7 Speakers are the slimmest floor-standing models in the Reference series, combining compact elegance with powerful, high-end sound. Measuring 28 x 98 x 43 cm and weighing 33 kilograms each, these 3-way bass reflex speakers deliver a music load capacity of 320 watts. Equipped with Black Ceramic Tungsten (BCT) diaphragms and high-quality BC drivers, the Reference 7 produces precise bass, detailed midrange, and smooth highs.
The sweeping enclosure shape ensures optimal sound dispersion, while magnetic acoustically neutral fabric covers maintain a clean aesthetic. Crafted in Germany with first-class components and meticulous precision, these speakers offer long-lasting reliability and musical enjoyment. The Reference 7 provides dynamic stage imaging, deep bass response, and natural sound reproduction suitable for both stereo listening and home theater applications.
Advanced Technology
The Canton Reference 7 speakers incorporate sophisticated technology for precise and immersive sound. Two 154 mm BCT woofers with black ceramic tungsten cones produce deep, controlled bass in combination with the efficient bass guide system and perfectly tuned cabinet volume. A 154 mm BCT midrange driver delivers clear and finely resolved mid frequencies, ensuring authentic vocal and instrumental reproduction.
Completing the 3-way system, a 25 mm BC tweeter with black aluminum oxide ceramic cone generates homogeneous and detailed high frequencies. The crossover network uses carefully selected components with minimal tolerance specifications, allowing seamless interaction between drivers. This precise engineering ensures a balanced impedance curve, natural impulse response, and optimal reproduction across the frequency range, creating an authentic and engaging listening experience.
Connectivity and Room Compensation
The Reference 7 speakers feature high-quality WBT nextgen terminals, providing secure and low-loss connections for single, bi-wiring, or bi-amping configurations. Hard gold-plated copper bridges are included for single-wiring use, allowing the speakers to deliver their full sonic potential.
Room Compensation technology (RC) controls are integrated directly on the speaker terminals, enabling precise adjustment of midrange and tweeter levels in 1.5-decibel increments. This ensures that the speakers can be perfectly tuned to the acoustics of the listening environment and the user’s preferences.
These advanced connection and adjustment options allow the Reference 7 to maintain consistent sound quality regardless of placement, offering flexibility and optimum performance in a wide variety of home audio setups.
Innovative Cabinet Design
The Reference 7 features an elaborately engineered cabinet that maximizes stability and minimizes resonance. Computer-optimized internal stiffening, precise damping using special fleece, and avoidance of parallel surfaces reduce standing waves and unwanted vibrations. The cabinet’s sweeping and curved shape not only enhances the visual appeal but also supports precise sound dispersion, ensuring a natural and immersive soundstage.
The drivers are integrated into the round baffle and surrounded by asymmetrical waveguide rings, which act as acoustic guides to improve dispersion for both the midrange and tweeter. This combination of structural stability and acoustic engineering allows the Reference 7 to deliver clear, dynamic, and distortion-free sound across all volume levels.
Elegant Finishes
The Canton Reference 7 is available in three exquisite finishes, allowing seamless integration into a variety of interior styles. The Black Piano version features a high-gloss lacquer achieved through twelve layers, creating a mirrored depth effect. The White Satin finish offers a timeless, sophisticated look with a smooth surface that complements modern interiors.
The Walnut finish provides a warm, natural aesthetic with fine-pored veneer treated with matte lacquer. Each finish demonstrates Canton’s attention to detail and craftsmanship. Alongside its elegant appearance, the Reference 7’s high-quality materials and precise assembly ensure durability and consistent performance. This combination of aesthetic refinement and technical excellence makes the Reference 7 a visually and acoustically impressive addition to any home audio setup.
