In from the cold
I had an old Linn K9 cartridge lying in a drawer doing nothing, having read about the AT-VMN 95ML being a perfect replacement I decided to try it. The results on a Rega P3 were very positive, it surprised me with its sure-footedness and its beautiful handling of the high frequencies. Everything I tried with it sounded just right, I usually ended up listening to the entire side of a record rather than just one track. I noticed less surface noise compared to the outgoing Rega Elys, possibly due to the micro linear shape. I think this stylus is something of a sonic bargain so can only give it a hearty recommendation. It has breathed new life into my old K9, it has come in from the cold.
