Description
The Audio Technica AT-ART20 dual moving coil phono cartridge is the latest model in the ART series and maintains the superb hi-end analogue sound reproduction of the ART series.
The cartridge is optimised to get the benefits of a slightly higher output magnetic core. Making the pre-amp used less critical. Additionally, the line contact stylus gives a high frequency response beyond 50,000Hz
Extended frequency response
The magnetic core makes the frequency response of the AT-ART20 extended and detailed. Low frequencies are reproduced with maximum clarity, force and emotion.

Gold Plated Terminals
The gold plating on the terminal pins is 30 times that of conventional cartridges. This reduces contact resistance, essential when the output is under 1mV. Top-quality materials including titanium are used to reduce resonance resulting in a pure sound.
Polished Titanium Body
The Sabae City, Fukui Prefecture in Japan has been renowned for its advanced cutting and polishing technology for over 100 years. This expertise has been used to produce a titanium body that has an organic design with a beautifully curved surface. The cutting technology has enabled the thickness of the titanium to be reduced. This reduces the weight and the mass of the cartridge.
Magnetic Core Made in Japan
The AT-ART20 features a newly designed magnetic circuit that increases the efficiency for a more realistic sound. The output voltage is raised 15% without increasing the mass or impedance. This is done by making the front yoke thicker to improve the magnetic flux density.
New Stylus/Cantilever Assembly
Another new feature of the cartridge is the redesigned stylus/cantilever assembly. This is lighter and more responsive with a strengthened cantilever to improve the high-frequency response. Titanium is also used by the tip reinforcement plate that holds the stylus tip in place. Consequently, the mass is reduced.
