Design and Construction
At the core of the Arran OCC XLR is a pair of conductors, each constructed from six solid OCC copper strands surrounding a seventh central core. These conductors are tension-wrapped in a multi-layer microporous PTFE dielectric, which further enhances the cable’s performance by reducing signal loss and maintaining clarity.
The interconnect is terminated with Atlas’s signature ‘dark Chrome’ XLR connectors, made from lightweight yet durable aluminum alloy. Each connector is fitted with precision cold-welded OCC copper pins, ensuring a direct and uninterrupted signal path from source to destination.
To further enhance signal integrity, the Arran incorporates a continuous copper shielding braid for maximum protection against radio frequency interference (RFI) and other environmental noise sources, ensuring the cleanest possible audio output.
