Atacama Evoque Eco 60-40 SE2 adds latest technological advances to the award winning Evoque stand including upgrades in deflection channels and leg component design.

A.S.I.S.T dampening gaskets

Atacama Sonic Isolation System Technology consists of two dampening gaskets in each leg to lower “ringing” and isolate the aluminium components from the outer leg collar. Connected via Internal Studs, these components work as resonance conductors letting energy escape away from the bamboo shelves so it can be dispersed through to the floor.

Mechanically Tuned Leg Lengths

Fully adjustable Nickel plated Bronze counterweights on the internal leg studs can tune the module frequency to dial out resonance of the specific equipment. The leg lengths are extended by 5mm compared to the standard Evoque SE further minimising the resonance frequency of each module.

A.V.R.D.C Deflection

Each Bamboo panel has Advanced Vectored Resonance Deflection Channels; a 3D curvature geometric design crafted underneath each module. This neutralises high frequency harmonic energy by routing it from the supported kit towards the leg grounding components. Each channel is cut into a “V” formation then curved to direct maximum vertical energy into a horizontal axis towards the legs to avoid resonance and maximise performance.

Bronze Isolation Coned Spikes

Much resonance is routed away from the bamboo, therefore the spike interface reinforces openness avoiding energy constriction and enabling it to freely dissipate to the floor. These new spikes are longer and shaped for Mechanical Grounding (optimising energy transfer between each module while retaining a standard of isolation).

Side Edge Contoured Panels

The contoured edges of each bamboo module prevents standing waves instead directing it to the new A.V.R.D.C channels to aid the efficiency of each shelf. When the wave reflects the edge, it changes phase creating a mirror image of the original which then merge and if their amplitudes match polarity, they will form a wave with a larger amplitude (constructive interference). The side edge contouring prevents this.

Bamboo Shelving

Atacama’s high-density carbonised bamboo performs drastically better than conventional hardwood and veneered supports thanks to patented micro growth pore structure with exceptional vibration absorption and resonance control. The production processes, layering, density and thickness are chosen for superior acoustic results.

Bamboo is a natural material and with age the appearance varies in colour, texture, grain. As a consequence, the addition of an extra shelf at a future date results in a colour tonal difference. Where possible, order the Evoque as a full modular support with enough levels for later requirements to reduce variation. Bamboo may naturally darken over time as part of the maturing process.

To order a full hi-fi rack, add each shelf to your basket separately (for example, start by selecting shelf colour and a "75mm base" as your first shelf. Then repeat for the next shelf on your rack. And so on, until you have as many shelves as you want. For a 4 shelf stand, you will add 4 shelves separately to your basket). Atacama will colour match shelves together at the time of ordering.
