The System Audio Signature 10 Wall Speaker is a versatile two-way speaker that can be placed horizontally or vertically. They are part of the signature range. The range includes floor-standing and bookshelf speakers as well as a subwoofer. Notably, they are good for home cinema systems where they can be placed on either side of the screen.
Wall brackets are provided. Moreover, they can be used as a centre speaker and placed under the screen. A smaller on-wall speaker is also available. Lastly, The frequency response is a wide 70Hz to 25kHz.
1” Signature DXT tweeter with acoustic lens
Tweeters provide the high frequencies in a speaker system. Notably, the tweeter in the System Audio Signature 10 Wall Speaker features an acoustic lens. This helps to distribute the sound over a wider area.
High frequencies are directional and the tweeter should be at ear level for best results. However, waveguides and lenses are used to reduce the directional effect. Moreover, the tweeter is centrally placed in this unit, giving a more balanced sound.
Two 5.5” woofers for stunning bass
As they are designed to be placed against a wall, the System Audio Signature 10 Wall Speakers feature a special design. The design takes advantage of being mounted against a larger surface. The effect of room reflections is mitigated reducing distortion.
Additionally, the bass drivers are placed on either side of the tweeter. This provides more powerful bass from the sealed enclosure. The cones are made of a lightweight material that has a fast response and good damping characteristics.
A quality crossover.
Two-way speakers such as the System Audio Signature 10 Wall Speakers need a crossover to take advantage of the multiple drivers. In this case, the tweeter is fed from a high-pass filter.
This is made up of inductors and capacitors that split the audio band. Older capacitors with a paper dielectric tended to fail over time. However, modern polypropylene capacitors will last for many years.

Unusually, the System Audio Signature 10 Wall Speaker can be used as the left, right, and centre speaker in a home cinema system. These are normally driven from an AV receiver that has multiple channels.
For example, a 5.1 system would comprise a left and right front pair of speakers as well as a centre speaker. There are also two rear surround channels.
