The Uniti Atom from Naim is a complete system superseding the multi award-winning Uniti Qute 2, with UPnP, a hidden wifi antennae, amplifier and a beautiful colour display, all in a single package.

Naim have found that more customers are choosing to use Tidal and Spotify. Naim add's its expertise in audio board layout and moved the digital connectivity to I2S over LVDS meaning the digital signal has the advantage of a separate clock signal, therefore, lower jitter and excellent audio performance.

Along with Tidal and Spotify Connect, the Atom also supports Airplay, Bluetooth (aptX HD), Internet Radio, UPnP and it is Roon Ready.

The Atom uses Class AB amplification, and is designed from the experience gained from developing the superb NAIT integrated amplifiers. Class A/B amplification can be difficult to implement properly, with many procedural limits to overcome, especially in tight compact cases, however, it has been selected to offer top audio performance.

Large transformers have been added to the power amplifier section and flow from linear power supplies. The power supply is also enlarged to the biggest linear size that can fit. Power of 40 Watts may appear to be very much but with this design, the Atom is capable of driving most bookshelf speakers and many floor-standers.

This Atom amazingly powerful 4th Generation 40-bit SHARC DSP processor, capable of 2700 MFLOPS running at 450Mhz.

Similar to the other new Uniti players, the Atom uses a premium Burr Brown DAC and analogue filter region and the output stages are constructed from top-quality components as in the preamplifiers. Using the powerful SHARC facilitates future updates in performance, formats and features.

The Atom has a digital controlled analogue volume control giving you an interface directly with the smooth and beautifully illuminated top surface volume control.

The Uniti Atom is easily controllable with its remote control or the Naim Control app (iOS & Android). Also, if you have other Naim streaming devices on your network, you can select rooms and enable party mode from the app.

This Atom has HDMI to transmits video, audio and control signals digitally. Connect a HDMI cable from the TV’s HDMI ARC connector to the Uniti and whatever input on the TV is selected the TV sound will be digitally passed to the Uniti for decoding (PCM Stereo) and playback. It can also transmit TV-remote commands to control Atom’s volume and simplify the process.

The Uniti Atom can activate when the TV is turned on and automatically chooses the HDMI ARC input. The HDMI inputs employ galvanic isolation to guarantee noise from the TV power supply or other connected devices does not degrade the performance when playing.

This Uniti Atom has significantly superior Wi-Fi with greater stability and performs five times faster than the original platform. The Wi-Fi processor supports 2.4 and 5GHz speeds ensuring it is the best in the market. Plus, it has a larger internal buffer and memory resulting in fewer dropouts compared to the old platform that could only store up to a minute's worth at CD data rates. s.

The Uniti is intended to host full connection to your music library. The full-colour display is great to present album artwork and content. Plus, the screen has a proximity sensor, that wakes up when you approach, to display music data, audio input and more. There is a selection of front panel buttons including Favourites, Stop and Play.
