Description
The Martin Logan SLM XL Ultra Slim Wall Speaker is designed to go with large screen TVs up to 63”. The speakers can be wall mounted, either under the screen or to the side. At only 2” deep they are unobtrusive but pack a large punch.
Martin Logan’s renowned folded motion tweeter is used along with two 4”, high excursion woofers. Additionally, to boost the bass four passive bass radiators are included. Stands or wall mounts can be used to mount the speakers horizontally or vertically. Lastly, they are perfect for Left, Right, Centre systems.
Dual woofers and passive bass radiators
The two woofers and four passive radiators fitted to the Martin Logan SLM XL Ultra Slim Wall Speaker provide bass usually found in much larger systems. The fibre-coned drivers are ultra slim and the whole unit is only 1.83” thick including the wall brackets.
The drivers are mounted in a solid aluminium baffle for strength. Lastly, in the centre, there is one of Martin Logan's renowned folded motion tweeters for stunning highs.
Mounting versatility
Behind the Martin Logan SLM XL Ultra Slim Wall Speaker are slots that are used to mount to wall brackets. This allows the speakers to be mounted vertically next to the screen or horizontally underneath.
Moreover, the speakers can be mounted on a shelf or cabinet by using the curved black base. They also have adjustable screws to set the tilt angle.
The Perfect Left Centre Right, LCR System
The folded motion tweeter has an 80-degree dispersion pattern both horizontally and vertically. This means that the speakers can be used for Left Centre Right systems. Notably, the speakers sound the same in a horizontal or vertical position and the logo can be rotated to match.
Why thin speakers?
Most flat-screen TVs are too thin to have powerful speakers. The sound is often thin and easily distorts at higher volume levels. This is due to the cabinet volume being too low for good bass. Moreover, the drivers are usually tiny and underpowered.
As a result, conventional speakers or soundbars can be used to provide good sound. However, these do not aesthetically match thin TV’s. As a result, the Martin Logan SLM XL Ultra Slim Wall Speaker has been designed to match the look of modern thin TVs while having good bass and versatile mounting options.
