Description
The KEF KW2 RX Receiver is designed to provide a reliable wireless connection between the XIO Soundbar and a compatible subwoofer, removing the need for physical cabling. By transmitting high-quality audio signals over a dedicated 2.4 GHz wireless link, the KW2 allows subwoofers to be positioned freely for optimal bass performance without being constrained by cable runs.
This flexibility is particularly valuable in living spaces where clean aesthetics and practical placement are priorities. The receiver plugs directly into the rear of compatible KEF active subwoofers, creating a discreet and integrated solution.
Once connected, it delivers stable, low-distortion audio transmission that maintains timing and tonal accuracy, ensuring bass performance remains tightly integrated with the main soundbar system.
Compatibility and Connection Options
The KW2 RX Receiver is engineered to work seamlessly with a range of KEF subwoofers, including models such as KC62, KC92, KF92, and the Kube series. Four dedicated connector pins ensure a secure and uninterrupted signal path when used with compatible KEF designs.
For users with third-party subwoofers, the KW2 also offers an Aux and Optical combo output, allowing connection via analogue or digital input. This versatility makes the receiver suitable for a wide range of system configurations.
Power is supplied via a USB-C connection, enabling flexible installation away from equipment racks. An included cover neatly conceals the connector pins when using non-KEF subwoofers, maintaining a clean appearance.

Despite its compact size, the KEF KW2 RX Receiver is designed to deliver consistent audio performance across the full audible range. Supporting 24 bit 48 kHz resolution and a frequency response from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, it preserves detail and impact in low-frequency content.

With a maximum line of sight range of up to 15 metres, the KW2 provides dependable wireless performance in typical home environments.
