Audio Affair answered emails and we spoke about possible amps on the phone. This resulted in me -- eventually! -- choosing the Graham Slee Solo SRG. It's a terrific improvement -- not least because, as they suggested might be the case, it is clear that the old Rega EAR simply wasn't powering the Beyerdynamics adequately. The sound I now hear is transformed and with use the Slee has also improved. Nearly £550 seemed an awful lot to pay but as I only listen with headphones and play records virtually every day I hoped it would be worth it. It is -- I'm delighted with the amp.
