Description
The Gold Note Pianosa Turntable embodies the brand’s commitment to meticulous craftsmanship and sonic excellence. Every element of its design reflects a philosophy where innovative forms and premium materials serve a single purpose: delivering an extraordinary analogue listening experience.
Inspired by the elegant Catenary curve, the lower plinth is available in luxurious walnut wood or black lacquered MDF, each version handmade in Italy by highly skilled craftsmen. Every piece of wood is individually selected and carefully shaped, forming the structural “heart” of the turntable.
This dedication to detail ensures not only visual refinement but also enhanced rigidity and resonance control, allowing the Pianosa to exceed expectations in clarity, balance and musical expression.
Refined Dual-Plinth Construction
The Pianosa’s dual-plinth architecture is engineered for maximum structural integrity and acoustic stability. The upper plinth, constructed from 20mm thick black lacquered MDF, is reinforced with a 3mm stainless steel plate to significantly increase rigidity and damp unwanted vibrations. This layered construction helps maintain consistent energy distribution throughout the chassis, preventing micro-resonances that could colour the sound.
The combination of wood, MDF and steel results in a perfectly balanced structure that supports precise playback performance. Resting on carefully designed feet for optimal isolation, the turntable remains stable even in demanding listening environments. The result is a composed and dynamic presentation, revealing subtle musical nuances with impressive depth and realism.
Precision Drive System and Electronic Control
Derived directly from Gold Note’s flagship models, the Pianosa’s 12V high-torque synchronous motor is controlled by an advanced electronic system designed to eliminate vibration and maintain absolute speed accuracy. Electronic speed selection allows effortless switching between 33â…“rpm and 45rpm, with fine pitch control ensuring precise calibration.
The 70-shores rectified NBR belt provides smooth and stable transmission, contributing to wow and flutter performance of just 0.1% and rumble rated at -77dB. This refined motor control system ensures steady rotation, accurate timing and lifelike dynamics. By combining advanced electronics with carefully selected materials, the Pianosa delivers a stable and controlled playback platform capable of reproducing even the most delicate musical passages with authority.
Advanced Bearing and Platter Engineering
The Gold Note Pianosa Turntable features a high-precision pivot system engineered with extremely tight tolerances to minimise friction and ensure fluid rotation. The tempered steel platter spindle is perfectly matched to a chromed 5mm steel ball bearing, guaranteeing long-term durability and exceptionally smooth movement.
The 23mm dampened Poly-Vinyl platter works in conjunction with the Split-Spindle™ clamping system to optimise record stability and reduce resonance. This carefully balanced design promotes low mechanical noise and enhances detail retrieval from the vinyl groove. Every rotation is silent and controlled, allowing the cartridge to extract the finest micro-information with remarkable precision and natural tonal balance.
Tonearm Integration and Cartridge Flexibility
The Gold Note Pianosa Turntable is supplied with the highly regarded Gold Note B-5.1 tonearm, offering superb tracking performance and compatibility with a wide range of phono cartridges. Its precision bearings and adjustable features allow accurate setup for optimal performance. The turntable includes a transparent dust cover with hinges for protection while maintaining elegant aesthetics.
Please note that any cartridge shown in product images is for illustrative purposes only and is available separately unless otherwise specified. This allows you to select a cartridge that best complements your system and musical preferences, ensuring a tailored analogue setup that maximises performance and personal enjoyment.
Elegant Proportions, Enduring Performance
Measuring 425mm wide and weighing 13.5kg net, the Gold Note Pianosa Turntable combines compact dimensions with substantial mechanical authority. Powered by an 18V DC supply compatible with 100–240V mains, it operates efficiently with a maximum consumption of 27W. The carefully balanced proportions and premium finishes make it equally at home in contemporary and classic interiors.
Beyond its aesthetic appeal, Pianosa delivers exceptional musical engagement, offering clarity, dynamic precision and refined tonal warmth. By blending Renaissance-inspired design principles with modern engineering, the Gold Note Pianosa Turntable stands as a beautifully crafted analogue instrument built to bring vinyl collections vividly to life.
