A custom version of Silent Angel’s streaming engine is integrated into Mission’s own circuitry, driven by powerful ARM Cortex A72 and A53 multicore processors. High Resolution Audio and Sonic Customisation

Popular formats, including FLAC, ALAC, WAV, AIFF, and APE, are fully supported, alongside DSF and DIFF for native DSD playback and DoP for compatibility with DSD over PCM.

Even compressed formats, such as MP3, WMA, AAC, and OGG, are reproduced with impressive fidelity. PCM streams are automatically upsampled to either 352.8 kHz or 384 kHz before digital-to-analogue conversion, pushing unwanted artefacts beyond the audible range and allowing gentler filtering.

This enhances clarity, transient accuracy, and spatial realism. For listeners who prefer manual control, the upsampling can be disabled and one of five DAC reconstruction filters selected, allowing the sound to be fine-tuned to personal taste and different music sources.
