Versatile with all equipment
All types of equipment benefit from listening via the Abyss Diana MR Headphones. Everything from USB dongle DACs to high-end valve and solid-state amplifiers delivers an amazing sound. Moreover, the low impedance is ideal for portable, battery-operated equipment. The sound has good resolution as well as a lush sounding bass.
MR planar driver
The patented driver of the Abyss Diana MR Headphones has a very flat frequency and phase response. As a result, the headphones have a full and natural sound. The vocals are amazing and the extended high-frequency range is smooth and true without being harsh. The drivers are large at 63mm and deliver powerful bass.
A choice of earpads
The Vegan version of the Abyss Diana MR Headphones comes with a cactus leather headband and Ultrasuede ear pads. This type of earpad softens the high frequencies slightly. The effect complements the design. However, for more detail lambskin ear pads are available. Moreover, magnetic earpads can be used, including bass-ported versions. These allow for a quick changeover of ear pads for different music types.
Impeccable aluminium frame
The build quality of the Abyss Diana MR Headphones is impeccable. They are made in the USA of only the finest materials. The aluminium frame is CNC machined and the Drivers are made in-house. They are also thin and light, being made from aircraft-grade aluminium. Build quality comes first and you will not be disappointed.
Leather headband and head-shaped foam earpads
The headband of the Abyss Diana MR Headphones is covered in real leather along with Alcantare which is a type of high-end suede-like fabric. There are also padded elements to eliminate hot spots. Also, the Vegan version comes with cactus leather. Other parts of the headphones are made of carbon fibre or exotic wood. This provides a high-tech polymer finish.
Headband adjustment
The headband adjustment of the Abyss Diana MR Headphones uses magnets which means there are no touching parts to wear out. Additionally, the design twists and flexes with the earpads to ensure a perfect fit. The headphones always conform to your head shape for a long-term comfortable fit.
Headphone connectors
There are various headphone connector types available and the Abyss Diana MR Headphones. A quality cable by JPL Labs is included. The most common unbalanced type of connector is the 3.5mm stereotype, as used by most smartphones. There is also the traditional 6.3mm type. Balanced options include the 4-pin XLR and 4.4mm type. Balanced outputs are found on high-end headphone amplifiers.
